EVOTEQ a leading Digital Transformation catalyst and Sharjah City Municipality have announced their collaboration for Emirate’s parking management system through Artificial intelligence Solutions. Both entities will be exploring smart transport platform solutions for traffic congestion and parking. The partnership arrives from the Municipality’s alignment with the vision and directives of the Emirate, and aims to reaffirm SCM’s work in the Digital Transformation space providing services and competing on a global level.
Using Artificial Intelligence and smart applications, “Sharjah Smart Parking” will let citizens and residents to identify and reserve spaces in sensored parking lots through their phones. Parking spaces will be classified with special categories like VIP spaces. The project will also be introducing ‘Priority Parking’ for urgent parking for the first time ever in Sharjah. Payment for “Priority Parking” will be set to encourage drivers to use these spaces responsibly and only in applicable cases.
His Excellency Thabit Salim Al Turaifi, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, emphasized the Municipality’s keenness to promote its offerings and services as per the highest standards through Digital Transformation. He confirmed that this will aid easy and efficient services.
In the first phase the project will kick off as a three-month pilot programme to measure success and usage before being widely rolled out across parking lots in Sharjah.
