Following a long period of evaluation, consultation, and development, the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) announced the introduction of the new "EmaraTax" integrated platform later this year. The new platform would notably enhance the taxpayer's access to the FTA’s services tax payments and receiving refunds.
The variety of new advances that EmaraTax brings to life will be advantageous to individual taxpayers, tax agents, legal counsel, foreign embassies and diplomats, customs organizations, and verification agencies. The EmaraTax platform could intensely enhance the FTA’s ability to manage taxes in the UAE and allow better, quicker decision-making and advance appointments with taxpayers who need support.
Moreover, this platform is built in alignment with the UAE’s Digital Government Strategy 2025, along with the orders of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and the Ruler of Dubai. The strategies include using upcoming technologies and building a robust digital infrastructure to serve people and the business community.
EmaraTax would be launched to revolutionize the users’ management of their taxes and would be a complete package of incredible features. During the first quarter of 2023, FTA will announce more services and features, including the mobile app version of EmaraTax.
